This exhibition uses a small sample of the Appel collection to illustrate the role of caricature and stereotype in the multicultural development of the United States.

The exhibition "Immigration and Caricature: Ethnic Images from the Appel Collection" was originally mounted by the MSU Museum in 1996 and is currently available for rental through the Traveling Exhibition Service.
