Grand Entry Lone Star Quilt 1995, 80 x 93 inches Shirley Grady (Hidatsa), of New Town, North Dakota, created this innovative version of the star quilt, incorporating appliquéd feathers in the corners and a border of pieced star tips. For this " Grand Entry Lone Star Quilt", the quilting includes an elaborate rendition of a pow wow "grand entry" as well as feathers and many other figures. Grady has won numerous awards for her work.
