The thunderbird holds special meaning for many Native people and is a popular design motif for quilts and other art forms. This quilt was made by Ruth Tyler and her daughter, Vera, who sell their quilts at an American Indian Arts and Crafts Co-op owned by members of the Clifton Choctaw in Louisiana.
