The colors, design, and excellent workmanship of applique
and quilting all combine to make a charming example of a Midwest
quilt. Feather wreaths grace the plain blocks. The solid, red, green
and yellow print fabric are typical of quilts in the mid 1800s.
The leaf design is repeated on the complementary border.
