This combination of nine patch blocks using white and other colors mixed with thin lined appliqué blocks is very characteristic of the area of Rahim Yar Khan in the Punjab. The back is hand loomed yellow-gold fabric that is also typical of the region. Some of the fabrics on the front have the feel of hand loomed fabric. In some blocks the appliqué is highlighted with embroidery embellishments. All stitching is done in white thread. Thread and bead tassels indicate the quilt was made for a special occasion.
