The quilt blocks were hand pieced. They were set on point with alternate
gold blocks by hand. The borders were machine pieced. The hanging grid
quilt pattern in the blocks was stitched by hand. The alternate plain
blocks have straight line hand quilting creating an "X" in each
block, with paisleys filling in between. The paisley is used again as
a chain motif for the borders. The signatures were hand written in each
block with ink.
