    Honoring tradition-bearers MSU MUSEUM SEEKS 2015 HERITAGE AWARD NOMINATIONS, ARTS APPRENTICESHIP APPLICATIONS Honoring individuals who continue traditions with excellence is the focus of two annual programs coordinated by the Michigan State University Museum: the Michigan Heritage Awards (MHA) Program, and the Michigan Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program (MTAAP).

    The MSU Museum will be closed on home football Saturdays in the fall: Oct. 4, Oct.25, Nov. 8 and Nov. 22. This weekend regular hours will resume on Sunday, Oct. 5 with the MSUFCU Dinosaur Dash!

    Earth-Shaking Fun! MSU FEDERAL CREDIT UNION DINOSAUR DASH IS SUNDAY, OCT. 5, AT MSU MUSEUM Mid-Michigan residents get ready for “Earth-shaking fun” at the MSU Federal Credit Union Dinosaur Dash, a 5K run/walk, set for 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5, at the Michigan State University Museum. Meanwhile, the Museum Mile, Mini Dash and Diaper Dash make for dinosaur-size fun and fitness for the whole family.

    Federal Grants of $30 Million Awarded to Support Museums across the U.S.   IMLS Announces Museums for America and National Leadership Grants for Museums Recipients   Washington, DC—Today, the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) announced new grants for 211 museum projects, totaling $25,576,662, through its highly competitive Museums for America and National Leadership Grants for Museums programs.
