Discovering Darwin, Celebrating Science
MSU MUSEUM PRESENTS DARWIN DISCOVERY DAY ON SUNDAY, FEB. 8
The Michigan State University Museum presents its 11th annual Darwin Discovery Day on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015, 1-5 p.m., an afternoon of science, exploration and discovery.
Researchers and graduate students from all across MSU are taking part in Darwin Discovery Day to help share their research and education with the public.

Note: The Museum will be open between the Christmas and the New Year’s holidays, from Monday, Dec. 29 through Wednesday, Dec. 31 at noon. The Museum will resume normal business hours on Monday, January 5, 2015.

Stop by the Museum Store for great gift-giving ideas for that someone special on your list! The store has a terrific selection at a range of price points, from stocking-stuffers to distinctive, hand-made treasures — alpaca knit ornaments, Michigan mittens, recycled and upcycled into purses and totes, Beaumont Tower carillon holiday CDs, birdhouses, and greeting cards.

The MSU Museum is now recruiting docents to help visitors get the most out of their visits.
Docents greet groups, conduct tours, and lead educational activities that add to the visitor experience and increase awareness of collections and exhibitions.

The MSU Museum will be closed during the home football game this Saturday, Nov. 22. Regular hours will resume on Sunday, Nov. 23 with an exhibit reception from 2 - 3:30 p.m. featuring the exhibit "Growing Up Digital in Michigan and Morocco," developed in part by the Haslett Middle School Museum Club.

The MSU Museum will be closed on home football Saturdays in the fall: Nov. 8 and Nov. 22. This weekend regular hours will resume on Sunday, Nov. 9 with MSUFCU Family Discovery Day.
