In recognition of the U.S. Supreme Court's decision on June 26, 2015 to legalize same-sex marriage, "Quilt for Equality" is now on display at the MSU Museum through September 2015. The MSU Museum is home to the Great Lakes Quilt Center, with a collection of more than 700 historic and contemporary textiles, research and archival documents.

The MSU Museum will be closed in observance of the Fourth of July holiday, Friday, July 3 - Sunday, July 5. Regular hours resume on Monday, July 6 at 9 a.m.

MSU Museum ornithologist Dr. Pam Rasmussen is part of a team of ornithologists who have just described a new species from Central China, the Sichuan Bush-warbler. She has contributed to the discovery of ten new species, as featured in MSU Today. Currently Dr.

The MSU Museum has selected the 2015 Nelson Mandela Museum-Michigan State University Museum Curatorial Fellowship recipient, Douglas McFalls, a Ph.D. student in the Educational Policy program with a specialization in culture based education and museum studies.

There's a giant hole in the ground right in front of the museum building! What's going on here?
The MSU Museum worked with MSU Infrastructure Planning and Facilities to create a small outdoor pop-up exhibit that explains the project, "Full Steam Ahead."
