Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church,
Harbor Beach, MI

[Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, 1949]

The twenty-foot high Nativity Window at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church depicts the leading characters in the Christmas story. The central panel presents the Holy Family: Joseph and Mary with the baby Jesus. Pictured in the right panel are the shepherds who have come to pay homage soon after the child's birth in the stable. The left panel shows the three wise men of the East who have followed the star to find the child and present their gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

Our Lady of Lake Huron Church was constructed in 1917 by local builders. The Nativity Window was created in 1949 by an unidentified firm in Germany.

Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church of Harbor Beach was registered in the Michigan Stained Glass Census by David C. Blashill of Harbor Beach (MSGC 93.0038).
