Conversation: Art and Artificial Intelligence

Thursday, March 23
5:00 – 6:30 PM
MSU Museum Entry Hall

Artificial intelligence initially arose to automate mundane tasks and computations, but lately it’s been making waves in creative spheres. This brings up questions about intellectual property, ethical use of technology, bias in algorithms, and the nature of creativity itself. The MSU Museum CoLab Studio invites you to join the conversation with Bill Hart-Davidson (Professor in Writing, Rhetoric, and American Cultures, and Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Education) and Anjana Susarla (Omura-Saxena Professor in Responsible AI at the Broad College of Business). This discussion will be moderated by Mark Sullivan, a practicing photographer, composer, and the creative director of the MSU Museum CoLab Studio.
