Where are you from?
Grosse Pointe, MI

What is your academic year?
Senior graduating May ‘22

What interested you in your position at the MSU Museum?
Art and science are much more similar than people like to think. Both are attempting to find answers to questions people have. I love how the museum and Science Gallery promote community conversation at the intersection of these two subjects.

How long have you been working with the MSU Museum and Science Gallery?
I have been a mediator with the Science Gallery Detroit since the first exhibition, “Hustle”, back in 2018. When Science Gallery moved to the MSU Museum, I started working the “Tracked and Traced” exhibition. I have also started helping at the museum’s front desk.

What is your favorite part of your work?
My favorite part of being a mediator is the conversations that I have shared. I have found giving visitors the space to express their questions, thoughts, and experiences brings so much more depth to pieces in the exhibition. I feel fortunate for all the people who have come into the gallery that I have had the opportunity to talk to and learn from.

What is your favorite exhibition at the MSU Museum?
I enjoyed the ‘Tracked & Traced’ exhibition, if I was to choose another one, it would be the Habitat Hall.

What do you do in your free time?
I have a bucket-list of art museums that I am currently working on completing and am also a member of MSU’s Irish Dance Club.

What is your dream job?
My dream job when I was little was to become an opera singer, however, once I realized that I had a terrible voice, I set my sights on the automotive industry. Once I graduate, I will be joining General Motors as a product development engineer!
