Where are you from? Rochester, MI
What is your academic year? Junior
What interested you in your position at the MSU Museum? I was interested in this position because I really value informal science education, and Science on a Sphere is an amazing example of how to turn scientific data into an interactive, educational experience.
What is your favorite part of your work? I have loved learning the technology of SOS and working with groups on their projects. It’s such a unique system that I still have a lot to learn about, but being able to spend time working on projects has helped me get to know how to use educational technology which is something I will definitely use in the future.
What is your favorite exhibition at the MSU Museum? My favorite exhibit is Science on a Sphere. I never get tired of hearing the “WOWs” when both kids and adults come into the space. It’s fun to explore for all ages!
What do you do in your free time? I love to spend my free time outdoors. I mainly love hiking trails, kayaking, and categorizing plant species (and taking a ton of pictures).
What is your dream job? My dream is to become an elementary school teacher, preferably upper elementary (and take lots of field trips to museums).
