Meet the second MSUFCU Arts Power Up Artist-in-Residence, Violeta López López, of Ávila, Spain. This semester, López López will be embedded in the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB), one of the world’s leading nuclear physics laboratories, and engaging with the STEAMPower Project. From this experience, she will create pieces to be exhibited by the MSU Museum CoLab Studio in Fall 2025. Come hear about López López’s artistic philosophy, past work, and her vision for this endeavor. This talk will be followed by an audience Q&A moderated by Hailey Becker, MFA candidate in Studio Art and PhD candidate in Forestry.
The MSUFCU Arts Power Up Art Residency at FRIB is generously supported by an endowed gift from the Michigan State University Federal Credit Union.
