SUMMARY:Got Milk? A Conversation on Breastfeeding
DESCRIPTION:Among the many decisions faced by new parents\, choosing how to
feed your baby can be surprisingly fraught. Breastfeeding\, whether nursi
ng or pumping\, is often touted as the best option. However\, access to th
e resources needed to successfully breastfeed has been seen as a social ju
stice issue in recent years. Join us in a conversation on the myths and mi
sinformation around breastfeeding as we address the personal\, biological\
, societal\, and economic factors that go into food access for babies. A l
 ight lunch will be provided.\n\nPanelists:\n\n Natosha Sage-El Bylsma\, a
 n International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant\n Sarah Comstock\, a
n MSU professor in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition\n M
yra Lee Fowler\, a policy analyst in the Women\, Infants\, and Children di
vision of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services\n
