DESCRIPTION:Generations of homecooks share commonalities\, as do culinary t
 raditions and experiences. Culture influences cookery\, and cookery in tur
 n influences culture. Through cookbooks\, global experiences and national 
 identity are gathered\, bound\, and represented in various ways. The impor
 tance of food is sharing it with people\; experience a variety of handwrit
 ten and printed cookbooks\, and see the recipes that document the celebrat
 ion of life through food. Join the MSU Libraries in partnership with the M
 SU Museum as we share a sample of the more than 40\,000 cookbooks and ephe
 mera from the cookery and foodways collection housed in the Stephen O. Mur
 ray and Keelung Hong Special Collections.\n\nThis is a drop in event\, no 
 preregistration required.
