 shop 1: Introduction to Generative AI Art with Midjourney \n\nThis worksh
 op serves as a foundational session\, introducing participants to the fund
 amentals of generative AI art. Through guided exercises and demonstrations
 \, participants will become familiar with the process of specifying overal
 l descriptive language and selective detail in a language prompt that guid
 es the choice of elements selected by the program to create the whole. Par
 ticipants will learn the names and concepts associated with different elem
 ents of a prompt\, including prefix\, scene\, suffix\, and parameters. The
 y will also learn commands that determine how Midjourney processes the fin
 al image\, including details related to resolution\, lighting\, focus\, an
 d so forth. They will learn the principles of detail-oriented and poetic-o
 riented prompt engineering\, insights into troubleshooting prompts\, and m
 odifying prompts to get desired outcomes in the image. \n\n IMPORTANT: P
 articipation in this workshop series is limited to MSU students\, faculty\
 , staff\, and alumni with an active MSU netID. Registration in the worksho
 p is free\, but participants must purchase their own basic Midjourney subs
 cription ($10/month). If you no longer wish to participate\, please email 
 us and we can cancel your workshop registration.
