SUMMARY:Opening Reception: A Museum Studies Student Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Join the MSU Museum for the opening reception of What If We Kis
sed in the Shadows of Beaumont Tower?: 170 Years of MSU Traditions\, a new
exhibition developed by students in Michigan State University’s Museum
Studies program.\nStudent life at MSU has always been about more than clas
ses. Through objects\, stories\, and creative interpretation\, this exhibi
tion explores how student traditions have connected Spartans across genera
tions. From the bloody\, but tongue-in-cheek\, class rivalries of the 1910
s to today’s cathartic Midnight Scream\, visitors are invited to conside
r how traditions evolve while continuing to bring people together through
 shared experience\, student passion\, and Spartan spirit.\nCelebrate the o
pening\, meet the student curators\, and be among the first to experience
the exhibition. What If We Kissed in the Shadows of Beaumont Tower?: 170 Y
ears of MSU Traditions is on view in the Forest Akers Trust Student Exhibi
 tion Lab April 25 - July 31\, 2026.
