 tion of Hispanic Heritage Month\, join acclaimed comic artist and writer T
 erry Blas for a conversation and hands-on comics-making workshop. Blas wil
 l share insights into his creative practice\, storytelling\, and the ways 
 comics can imagine alternative futures\, followed by an interactive activi
 ty inviting participants to create their own short comics. No prior drawin
 g experience is required\, just curiosity and a willingness to explore new
  ideas through visual storytelling.\n\nRegister Here\n\nAbout Terry Blas\n
 Terry Blas is the illustrator and writer behind the viral webcomics You 
 Say Latino and You Say Latinx. He wrote Ariana Grande vs Sergeant Shade 
 and the Clonebot Brigade\, the comic book tie-in for her R.EM. fragrance 
 campaign. He is also the writer of Steven Universe comics for Boom\, an
 d Rick and Morty comics for Oni Press. His original graphic novels are
  Dead Weight: Murder at Camp Bloom\, Hotel Dare\, Lifetime Passes\, and
  Eat Your Heart Out\, all of which feature Queer and Mexican characters.
  He wrote three series for Marvel comics: Reptil: Brink of Extinction\, 
 Nova\, and Runaways\, as well as a Wonder Woman and Vixen story for DC 
 comics. He graduated from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in '09 with
  a BFA in Illustration. He lives in Oregon with his husband and their dog\
 , Alfie. In his spare time he enjoys drawing animals\, superheroes\, drag 
 queens and KPop idols.
