DESCRIPTION:As the United States turns 250\, the Speculative Futures series
  looks ahead\, spotlighting artists\, poets\, scholars\, and storytellers 
 who imagine what comes next. Through programs celebrating Black History\, 
 Women’s History\, AAPI Heritage\, Hispanic Heritage\, and Native America
 n Heritage Months\, the series asks how visionary narratives can reimagine
  identity\, justice\, and possibility in America’s next chapter.\n\nSpec
 ulative Futures | The Future is Feminine\nPoetry Reading with Brittany Rog
 ers and MSU Student Poets\n\nCelebrate Women’s History Month with an eve
 ning of powerful poetry that envisions new futures shaped by women’s voi
 ces. Detroit-based poet and educator Brittany Rogers joins MSU student poe
 ts for a reading exploring imagination\, resilience\, and possibility thro
 ugh a feminist lens. Part of the Speculative Futures series\, The Future i
 s Feminine invites audiences to consider how storytelling and poetry can r
 eimagine identity and justice in America’s next chapter.\n\nRegister Her
 e\n\n\n\nBrittany Rogers is a multidisciplinary artist\, educator\, and li
 felong Detroiter. Her work has been published widely\, including the Acad
 emy of American Poets\, Lit Hub\, The Hopkins Review\, Lambda Literary\,
  and Oprah Daily. She is Editor-in-Chief of Muzzle Magazine\, co-host of
  VS Podcast\, and the author of the poetry collection Good Dress\, a Mic
 higan Notable Book for 2025\, and finalist for both the NAACP Image Award 
 and the Lambda Literary Award for Bisexual Poetry (Tin House\, 2024). In a
 ddition to being a finalist for Detroit Narrative Agency’s Emerging Film
 maker Fellowship in 2024\,  she was a 2024 resident of  POWERHOUSE and a
  2024 WOMXNHOUSE artist. In 2025\, Brittany was awarded the Betty Berzon E
 merging Writer Award and a Kresge Arts in Detroit Fellowship.\nMSU Student
