Experience the tech-fueled obsession with self-optimization in this interactive art installation. YOU ARE PREPARED, at MSU for one day only, guides visitors through a series of movement-controlled games to help them realize their most optimized self. YOU ARE PREPARED was created by artist Allison Berkoy in collaboration with students in the Emerging Media Technology (MTEC) program in New York City.

Allison Berkoy is an interdisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, New York. Mixing physical and electronic media, she creates video sculptures, interactive installations, and performances between humans and machines. Her participatory works explore the boundaries and etiquette of human-machine interaction as well as human-human relationships. Berkoy is an Associate Professor of Emerging Media Technology (MTEC) at CUNY City Tech.
For YOU ARE PREPARED, students and alumni from the MTEC program contributed code, visuals, sound, research, and creative ideas. Aiden, a generative AI collaborator, assisted with code troubleshooting, project critique, and creating its self-portrait.
