Memberships help support exhibitions, collections and educational programs to the museum’s over one half million visitors per year and nearly one million objects and specimens in collections.

“Membership provides vital support for our exhibition development, education, outreach, and collections care programs and makes possible professional development funds for our remarkable, hard-working staff,” says MSU Museum Director Mark Auslander. “As Friends of the Museum, members are the heart and soul of our museum family, helping build bridges every day to our diverse community partners, near and far.”

Joining is easy and rewarding. An Individual/Basic Museum membership includes:

  • Invitations to museum exhibits, lectures, festivals, workshops, and events
  • At the Museum calendar
  • 20% discount on ticketed MSU Museum events, and in the MSU Museum Store

Also, other designated membership levels include these additional benefits: behind the scenes tours, annual Members’ Dinner, Smithsonian Affiliate Membership, North American Reciprocal Membership Program, and more. Sign-up Online
