A CALL TO ACTION: WORLD WAR I POSTERS
In honor of Armistice Day, now called Veterans Day, the MSU Museum presents a display of World War I posters. The signing of the armistice ending hostilities on the Western Front occurred at 11 a.m. (the eleventh hour) of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918. After World War II, the name was changed to Veterans Day to honor all members of the armed forces who were killed during wartime. Later in 1953 it was expanded to honor all vets.
The poster exhibit will be on display for only a short period of time before the Museum's annual Christmas exhibit is installed in the Ground Floor Entry. It will close on Sunday Nov. 20, 2011.
