“Knowing Nature” Book Club Discussion with East Lansing Public Library
Come to the East Lansing Public Library for a discussion of Dr. Jessica Hernandez’s book Fresh Banana Leaves: Healing Indigenous Landscapes Through Indigenous Science. Fresh Banana Leaves was a 2022 Los Angeles Times Book Prize Finalize in Science & Technology. This discussion will be facilitated by Dr. Eric Berling, STEAM Educator at ELPL and Carrie Wicker, Museum Educator at the MSU Museum. Recommended for adults.

Knowing Nature: Stories of the Boreal Forest/ Historias del bosque boreal is a Smithsonian Traveling exhibit that made its national premier at the MSU Museum. The exhibition focuses on the biodiversity and global importance of our northern-most forests through first-person stories, commissioned objects, interactive experiences, and exquisite photography and videography.
