VirtualGenome is a new Virtual Reality (VR) based immersive platform to visualize and explore the 3D human genome. Visitors can fly into the 3D structure of the human genome and see what is going on and how genes and related proteins are spatially organized. You can zoom in and out, select specific cell types to explore, rotate them and see how the human genome is structured using a fun and accessible technology. This experience was developed as part of a National Science Foundation Grant and is curated by Dr. Jianrong Wang from the MSU Department of Computational Mathematics, Science, and Engineering.
