Workshop 2: Exploring Styles and Genres in Generative AI Art
In this workshop, participants will dive into the realm of style and genre and the roles they play in the prompts used in AI-generated images made with Midjourney. Through hands-on activities and creative exercises, participants will learn how to create prompts tailored to specific styles – such as cyberpunk, anime, futuristic, photorealistic – and genres – such as portraits, sci-fi, landscapes, and humor. They will explore techniques to elicit desired environments and components related to the themes and moods within each genre.
IMPORTANT: Participation in this workshop series is limited to MSU students, faculty, staff, and alumni with an active MSU netID. Registration in the workshop is free, but participants must purchase their own basic Midjourney subscription ($10/month). If you no longer wish to participate, please email us and we can cancel your workshop registration.
