Discover the uses of common chickweed (Stellaria media), a humble yet nutritious and delicious weed that thrives in Michigan gardens. Join the Beal Botanical Garden and MSU Museum to learn about and forage this plant, one of the earliest to emerge in the spring. Participants will learn how to identify the plant, harvest it, and make a chickweed salad to sample.
Please note that we will BEGIN the workshop at the MSU Museum in the Food Fight! Commons (at approximately 12:10PM) and later visit the Beal Garden.
