A look at Michigan’s economic history from the 1780s-1940s

The economic history of the Great Lakes region is represented by three buildings typically found in Michigan from the late 1700s to the 1940s: an authentic fur trader’s cabin, a 19th-century printing shop, and a turn-of-the-20th-century general store. Also featured is an area devoted to tools used in the harvesting of lumber in Michigan with corresponding images and a diorama of cut logs being moved down a river.
