The MSU Museum invites MSU students to relax, recharge, and reset with Unwind, a monthly program series featuring moments of music, movement, mindfulness, and playful connection. Unwind events take place at the newly renovated MSU Museum and are free to attend, with limited tickets available through preregistration.
Created with students’ wellness in mind, Unwind offers a once-a-month exhale during the bustling academic year. Whether through art, music, movement, or games, each gathering provides a chance to unplug, meet peers from across campus, and enjoy vibrant, shared experiences outside the classroom.
Upcoming Unwind events include:
• New Year’s Silent Disco — Friday, January 23, 2026
Dance the winter chill away with curated soundtracks and light refreshments.
• Love — Friday, February 6, 2026
Celebrate connection and self-care with themed activities built around compassion and wellbeing.
• Bratty — March 13, 2026
The brat silent disco (with brats!).
• Create — April 3, 2026
Comic Con at the MSU Museum
All Unwind gatherings begin at 7:00 p.m.; registration is required and spaces are limited. Students can reserve tickets here.
“The Unwind series was designed to be a space where students can take intentional breaks from academic stress, find joy in community, and explore wellness in creative ways,” said Brittany Carter, program coordinator at the MSU Museum. “From silent discos to mindful movement and playful games, there’s something for everyone.”
Hosted by the MSU Museum, Unwind is part of a broader commitment to student wellbeing and campus engagement. The series complements the Museum’s mission to serve the MSU community by facilitating experiences at the nexus of arts, sciences, cultures, and technologies.
The Unwind program is generously sponsored by the Michigan State University Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU), enabling the MSU Museum to provide these unique experiences to college students.
