Unwind Series Kicks Off

Monthly Moments of Music, Movement, and Mindfulness

The MSU Museum is delighted to announce the Unwind series, a monthly program designed to give MSU students opportunities to take breaks and support student wellness and creativity. The series creates opportunities to build community while providing meaningful ways for students to relax, recharge, and reconnect.

The first Unwind program of the semester, Harvest Moon Silent Disco, sets the tone for the year’s programming with a night of dancing under the stars. The event takes place on Friday, September 5, from 7:00–9:00 PM at Beal Botanical Garden, where students will receive wireless headphones and enjoy music in one of the most beautiful settings on campus.Graphic promotional image featuring abstract geometric shapes forming the word "breathe" in various shades of blue and teal. Unwind is all about creating space for students to reset and recharge in fun, meaningful ways,” said Brittany Carter, program coordinator at the MSU Museum. “The Harvest Moon Silent Disco brings people together through music, movement, and nature, making it a perfect way to start the semester.”

The series continues throughout the semester and beyond, with October’s Move Your Way at IM Circle, which highlights campus movement-based programs, and November’s Game Night, featuring board games, group activities, and retro games. In January, the Museum will welcome students back into its newly renovated building with another silent disco.

All Unwind programs are held from 7:00 – 9:00PM. While admission is free, tickets are limited, so be sure to reserve your spot in advance.

The Unwind program formerly known as First Fridays is generously sponsored by the Michigan State University Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU), enabling the MSU Museum to provide these unique experiences to college students.
